Mossclip turns long videos into short clips. This page says what we collect to do that, why, who else handles it and how long we keep it.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. If you sign in with an email link we receive your email address.
- Your beta access. When you ask for access in our Discord server we record your Discord username and account ID, when that account was created and joined the server, the email address you enter, and where you say you heard about us. We check with Discord that you are still a member of the server.
- Your videos. The links you paste and the files you upload, and what we make from them: transcripts, clips, captions and titles.
- Technical records. Our servers log requests, which includes IP address, browser type and time, so we can run the service and investigate problems.
What we use it for
To make your clips, to keep your account and its jobs, and to fix faults. We do not sell your data, we do not show advertising, and we do not train models on your videos.
Who else handles it
We use other companies to run parts of the service. They receive only what their part needs, and process it under their own terms:
- Google, when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Discord, when you ask for beta access in our server.
- Speech-to-text and language-model providers, to transcribe a video and choose its moments.
- Cloud computing providers, to process video.
- Cloud storage providers, to hold video files.
- A hosting provider for our servers, located in Germany.
- An email delivery provider, for sign-in emails.
How long we keep it
Clips and the video they were cut from are deleted 15 days after a job is created. A file you upload is removed from upload storage once we have fetched it for processing. Your account details stay until you ask us to delete the account.
Cookies
We set the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, or for your account and its contents to be deleted, by writing to jadejakrishna42@gmail.com. The same address is for any question about this page.
Changes
If what we collect or who handles it changes, we will update this page and its date.
